Department of Urban and Regional Planning (DURP)), Faculty of Engineering, Diponegoro University was involved in the 5th World Planning Schools Congress (WPSC) and 16th Asian Planning Schools Association (APSA) in Bali from 29 August until 2 September 2022 (https://wpsc-apsa2022.org/). The theme of the Congress is “Planning a Global Village: Inclusion, Innovation, and Disruption”. The congress was attended by academic representatives mostly from planning schools across the world, government partners (BAPPENAS/Ministry of National Development Planning), Minister of Agrarian Affairs, Ibu Kota Negara (The New National Capital City), global partner such as Asian Development Bank, and non-governmental-NGO. It was held in hybrid mode, and attended by not less than 400 participants offline and 300 participants online.

The Congress is organized by the Association of Indonesian Planner Schools (ASPI), act as the chairman – Prof.Dr. Iwan Rudiarto, ST, MSC and the secretary – Dr.Ir. Holi Bina Wijaya, MUM, both are staff members of DURP Undip. DURP also delegated the head and secretary of the bachelor’s and master’s study program, the head of the laboratory, lecturers, research assistant, and students to actively participate at the event. Exhibition booth is also available to provide information about the department. Another involvement of DURP Undip was organizing the International Joint Studio on 12-22th August 2022 “Urban Regeneration, City Livelihood-Maker as one of the pro-congress activity.
