Fadjar Hari Mardiansjah is an assistant professor at the Department of Urban and Regional Planning, Engineering Faculty– Diponegoro University. He got his doctorate in Aménagement de l’espace & urbanisme from the Université Paris Est, France. His researches focus on sustainable regional urbanization and small towns and cities development, metropolitanization of small cities, as well as regional inequality related to the metropolitan development that based on small cities especially on small cities in Java, Indonesia as one of the main arenas of regional urbanization in developing countries. He holds a master degree in development planning from University of Queensland, Australia, and another master degree in urban and regional planning from ITB, Indonesia, from where he got finished his bachelor degree in urban and regional planning.
