The Department of Urban and Regional Planning of Diponegoro University has successfully organized Summer Course and International Joint Studio in 2022 and 2023. These events is one of DURP Undip’s efforts in supporting Undip’s mission in in creating excellent and competitive graduates. In addition, these events also have an impact in increasing Undip’s branding in the international level. The organization of the event was in collaboration with the University of Hawai’i at Manoa (USA) and was attended by international participants from several universities in Asia, America, Africa and Europe.
Through the success of organizing these international events, DURP Undip plans to hold another Summer Course in 2025. Preparation for the 2025 Summer Course was carried out through workshops on Tuesday-Wednesday, January 30-31, 2024 in Room B105 DURP Undip. On the first day, Dr. -Ing. Wakhidah Kurniati as a speaker presented the Summer Course 2022 and 2023. Furthermore, on the second day, Dr. -Ing. Santy Paulla Dewi as a speaker \ explained the International Joint Course. This workshop event was attended by 21 DURP lecturers.
The Summer Course and International Joint Studio workshop events are expected to be able to provide an overview of the implementation of previous activities and improve the readiness of the organizing committee. In addition, it is hoped that through this sharing session, the Summer Course and International Joint Course events can be held successfully so that it can bring benefit students’ experience outside the campus and expand networks with universities and other partners.
